Responsibilities
- Lead the procurement strategy and execution for major, complex projects.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored for large-scale projects.
- Manage procurement processes including contracts, tendering, vendor management, and supply chain management.
- Conduct commercial negotiations and collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
- Lead large, multicultural procurement teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitor and evaluate market conditions and procurement practices in the GCC region.
- Build and maintain relationships with major international suppliers and contractors.
Requirements
- Over 25 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure, engineering, or major capital projects.
- Western education from a recognized university/institution.
- Proven track record in managing procurement for mega projects in the GCC.
- Strong experience with Project Management Consultancy (PMC) processes is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of contracts, tendering, vendor management, and commercial negotiations.
- Strong understanding of GCC procurement practices and market conditions.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in high-value, fast-paced projects with demanding delivery schedules.
