Responsibilities
- Manage ERP-based procurement operations for electrical and instrumentation materials and services.
- Review and screen material requisitions, specifications, datasheets, drawings, and BOQs to identify procurement requirements.
- Prepare and issue RFQs to approved suppliers as per project requirements.
- Source electrical and instrumentation equipment and materials, including switchgear, transformers, cables, instruments, control valves, junction boxes, and control systems.
- Evaluate supplier quotations and coordinate technical bid evaluations with the engineering team.
- Prepare commercial bid comparisons and negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranties.
- Ensure materials and suppliers comply with project specifications and client-approved vendor lists.
- Prepare purchase orders in the ERP system and obtain approvals as per company procedures.
- Follow up with suppliers on documentation, manufacturing progress, inspections, and delivery commitments.
- Work closely with QA/QC teams for material inspections and release documentation.
- Coordinate with logistics, stores, and site teams to verify material receipts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Monitor procurement costs against project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate procurement registers, purchase order records, delivery reports, and supporting documentation.
- Resolve supplier claims, purchase order discrepancies, and invoice issues with relevant departments.
- Identify procurement risks and delays and coordinate corrective actions to support project schedules.
Logistics and Supply Chain Management Responsibilities
- Design efficient logistics management systems to ensure timely goods delivery.
- Prepare MIS reports on logistics activities and keep management updated on inventory.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and proposals for logistics solutions.
- Develop long-term partnerships with suppliers and monitor daily supplier performance.
- Ensure suppliers meet service, cost, delivery, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers for new product development and implementation.
- Negotiate shipment terms and manage customs clearance with freight forwarders.
- Manage duty exemptions and prepare documentation for FTA submissions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in procurement within the Oil & Gas / EPC environment.
- Prior experience in ADNOC, Aramco, or other major Oil & Gas projects preferred.
- Knowledge of local and international supplier networks is essential.
