Responsibilities
- Directly lead product design and development from concept to implementation.
- Define equipment specifications and evaluate the merit of design changes.
- Collaborate with other disciplines such as mechanical and structural engineering, reliability, QA/QC, and compliance to create well thought out products.
- Prepare, review, and approve product design and drawings including electrical bill of materials, configuration, layouts, etc.
- Work with global suppliers and manufacturers to specify appropriate electrical equipment and bill of materials.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and building codes across different countries.
- Support Operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and operating procedure review.
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering background with hands-on experience in new product design and development of electrical power distribution equipment such as Low Voltage Switchgear and Power Distribution Cabinets.
- Ability to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
- Strong technical communication skills to convey complex engineering decisions to senior leadership.
