As our team is small, the ideal candidate should be a creative thinker excited to solve challenging problems and build something from the ground up. They should be able to move quickly, articulate trade-offs clearly, and take ownership of features independently. Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design of complex product surfaces, from initial problem framing and research synthesis through to pixel-perfect specs and post-launch iteration.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and data to define what gets built and why, not just how it looks.
- Translate ambiguous, multi-constraint problems (compliance, UX, business model) into clear, elegant flows that users can understand.
- Build and maintain an interaction vocabulary that scales: patterns, components, and decision logic that enhance team efficiency over time.
- Elevate design quality across the product through critique, documentation, and shipping exemplary work that serves as a reference for others.
- Advocate for the user in roadmap discussions, synthesizing research and behavioral data into a coherent point of view.
Requirements
- 4+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing work on complex, multi-state mobile flows (ideally in fintech, consumer apps, or high-usage transactional products).
- Ability to think in systems: designing not only screens but also the logic connecting them.
- Flexibility to move between strategy and craft, comfortable both in whiteboard sessions and in Figma designing pixel-perfect solutions.
- Strong analytical thinking and clear writing skills to articulate design decisions effectively against critiques from engineering and leadership.
- Treat research as a design tool, synthesizing signals quickly and executing effectively.
- Familiarity with AI tools to streamline execution, focus on critical thinking, and enhance output quality without being overly concerned with the process.
- Attention to detail that users notice but may struggle to articulate: timing, affordance, feedback, and trust signals in a payments context.
- High integrity and a team-first mindset; committed to making everyone around you better.
- Based in or open to relocating to the UAE.
