Position

As part of the company network, talabat is the pioneer of the online food ordering industry in the Middle East. We're on a mission to become one of the most "Experience-first" companies in the region, and we're looking for a Product Designer to grow with us. We're seeking someone who is curious, eager to learn, and excited to work on real products that impact millions of lives daily. You'll collaborate closely with senior designers, product managers, and engineers to ship thoughtful, user-centered experiences. While you will have support, you will also have real ownership, as we believe the best way to grow is by doing. If you take pride in the details, welcome feedback, and care deeply about the users of your designs, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Build familiarity with your squad's product area and users, guided by your manager and senior designer.
  • Translate well-defined problems into clean, considered design solutions, wireframes, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
  • Participate in generative and evaluative research activities (user interviews, usability tests) alongside more senior team members.
  • Work within and apply the design system consistently across your features; flag gaps or inconsistencies when you spot them.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from users, peers, and stakeholders throughout the design process.
  • Partner with your PM and senior designer to understand the problem space before jumping to solutions.
  • Share your work regularly with your immediate team for early feedback and iteration.
  • Participate in cross-functional workshops and design critique sessions as a contributor.
  • Document your design decisions and rationale clearly for handoff and async review.
  • Stay curious and continuously develop your craft through feedback, peer learning, and industry awareness.
  • Explore AI tools as part of your design process and stay curious about how they can enhance the quality and speed of your work.

Requirements

  • Preferably a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Design, Visual Communication, HCI, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of full-time UX/UI design experience, ideally in a consumer-facing product environment.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your design thinking process, highlighting how you approached and solved problems, not just polished outputs.
  • Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools (Figma preferred; AI tools, etc.).
  • Familiarity with core UX methods (e.g., user flows, journey mapping, wireframing, basic usability testing).
  • An eye for detail and a genuine care for how things look, feel, and function.
  • Comfortable asking questions, receiving direct feedback, and iterating quickly.
  • Clear communicator who can explain their design choices to their immediate team.
  • Organized and able to manage their own tasks in an agile sprint environment with guidance.
  • Humble and growth-minded, viewing every critique as an opportunity to improve.
