Product Engineer I – Raster & Imagery

The raster and imagery software development team at Esri's Sharjah R&D Center is seeking applications for a Product Engineer position. This dynamic role invites candidates to leverage their remote sensing education and experience to aid the Software Products team in designing, testing, and releasing top-tier image analysis software products. You will collaborate with colleagues across Software Development, focusing on the design, testing, documentation, and release of new capabilities for various products, working with imagery across multiple modalities, including Hyperspectral, Multispectral, Radar, Drone, and other remotely sensed data.

Responsibilities:

• Test and document image analysis capabilities for multiple image modalities across ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise on Windows and Linux, and ArcGIS Enterprise for Kubernetes.
• Contribute innovative software designs that support image-oriented analytical workflows.
• Support software developers in building software for GIS workflows.
• Assist in the development and operation of automated and manual QA tests, standard operating procedures (SOPs), image quality metric evaluations, and regression testing.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in quality assurance, test strategies, or test automation.
• Knowledge in one or more disciplines: remote sensing, image processing, photogrammetry, and image analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in geography, engineering, remote sensing, photogrammetry, or a related field.

Recommended Qualifications:

• Experience in Python scripting is a plus.
• Familiarity with multiple image modalities.
