About the Role
The Product Engineering Leader is accountable for detailed design, analysis, and technical justification of the turbofan’s modules, components, and parts. The role ensures that crucial engineering and product management strategies are met.

About POWERTECH
POWERTECH is a center of excellence for propulsion technologies, specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of combustion engines, expendable turbojet engines, and turbofan engines for a wide range of aerospace, defense, and autonomous applications, including fixed- and rotary-wing UAVs and other advanced platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and supervise Module-level design (Fan, LPC, HPC, Combustor, HPT, LPT, Controls, etc.)
  • Ensure technical validation through analysis, simulation, and test results: CAD, FEM, CFD, mechanical, dynamic, etc.
  • Conduct design reviews (PDR/CDR) to confirm design maturity, resolve technical risks, and validate compliance.
  • Define and manage technical maturity gates (PDR, CDR, QR) on engineering aspects supporting the Product Management strategy and milestones.
  • Support manufacturing department through DFM/DFA collaboration.
  • Ensure appropriate coordination with platforms OEM, key stakeholders, and internal teams: Test Engineering, System Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure engine integrity, compliance, and technical consistency.
  • Ensure high rank of OTD, FTR and deploy a mindset of accountability.
  • Institutionalize knowledge management, standards, and methods traceability along the product lifecycle.
  • Encourage a “dare to innovate” mindset to deploy best in class and new approaches when relevant (AI, software suite, etc.).
  • Mentor, coach, and develop the product engineering team, promoting continuous improvement and alignment with company engineering standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience within turbofan propulsion, aerospace, or other complex engineered systems in an engineering management position.
  • Solid understanding of turbofan architectures (turbofan, modules, sub-systems, and their integration constraints), performance drivers, and technology road maps.
  • Solid experience in product engineering and detailed design, multi-physics (fluid-dynamics, aerothermal, electromagnetic, mechanical behavior, etc.).
  • Exposure to customer, OEMs, authorities, or large-scale development programs.
