POWERTECH Engines is seeking a Product Manager to take end-to-end ownership of the P10i Engine Programme, an approximately 10 HP-class, fuel-injected small engine developed for tactical and ISR UAV applications. This is a single-threaded owner role with broad authority across product requirements, configuration, development priorities, supplier decisions, test and qualification strategy, cost, schedule, and customer commitments. The successful candidate will combine engine and powertrain knowledge with commercial judgement and a strong focus on cost and volume readiness.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the P10i product roadmap, requirements, configuration baseline, change control, business case, and master schedule.
- Act as the technical and commercial decision-maker for the product within delegated authority.
- Drive design-to-cost, value engineering, and BOM cost reduction while protecting product performance and margin.
- Ensure manufacturability, industrialisation, and readiness for series/high-volume production at the company facility.
- Define and maintain mechanical, electrical, ECU/EFI and platform interface requirements.
- Lead decisions on engine architecture, EFI/ECU calibration, performance, endurance, reliability, and installation envelope.
- Own programme milestones, risks, recovery plans, and customer delivery commitments.
- Lead supplier selection and management, focusing on cost, quality, capacity, scalability, and dual-sourcing of critical items.
- Own the test and qualification strategy, direct assigned test resources, approve test plans, and review results.
- Participate hands-on in test-cell, integration, flight-test, and field-trial activities.
- Act as the primary technical and commercial contact for customers and integrators.
- Lead RFQ/SOW definition, quotation inputs, pricing discussions, and negotiations with Business Development support.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Automotive, Propulsion Engineering or a related discipline; Master’s preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in engine/powertrain development or technical product management within UAV, aerospace, automotive, motorsport, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated ownership of a product through development, qualification, and delivery.
- Strong track record in design-to-cost, value engineering, BOM cost management, and commercially driven technical decisions.
- Proven supplier management and cross-functional leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, EFI/ECU systems, engine performance, and endurance fundamentals.
- Experience with small engines, UAV/RPAS propulsion, airframe integration, high-volume manufacturing, or defence programmes is highly desirable.
- Comfortable travelling frequently, particularly to the company facility, and working hands-on in workshops, test cells, and field environments.
