About the Job:
The company is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems, recognized for its platform, Ubuntu, which is widely used in enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. The product management team at the company consists of technologists passionate about delivering products that shape market demands while enhancing open source software.
As a Product Manager, you will lead the product development lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, sales), conduct market research and analyze industry trends, communicate product vision, and manage expectations. You will oversee the work of product lines, ensuring alignment across teams. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and technical vision, particularly in driving product strategy for future business needs, while striving to improve open source quality, outreach, and impact throughout the entire product lifecycle from conception to delivery.
Location:
Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Remote)
Work Conditions:
- Full-time
- Remote work available
- Must be located in the EMEA time zone
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 4 times a year for company events (up to two weeks long)
Language Requirements:
- Outstanding communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
Candidate Profile:
- Strong academic background
- Understanding of Linux and open source software
- Knowledge of computer architecture, application development, and data centers
- Passion for technology and continuous learning
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage multiple projects
Additional Skills Valued:
- Familiarity with verticals like Telco, Finance, Industrial, and Automotive
- Knowledge of cloud native technologies and networking
- Experience in leading distributed teams across different time zones
