Position

About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for transforming the build decision from the Investment Committee into a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that is tangible enough for evaluation. Your focus will be on ensuring that when an initiative fails, it does so on its hypothesis rather than on avoidable product weaknesses. This role entails owning the vision of what gets built, determining the pace of development, and monitoring user adoption during the MVP stages.

Key Accountabilities

  • Set the vision for product development and scalability. Write the target product profile, product requirements, and acceptance criteria for every initiative funded by the pillar.
  • Collaborate with scrum masters, product teams, and engineering teams in the Build pillar to ensure that approved work is sequenced, correctly built, and delivered promptly.
  • Work closely with users as well as engineers: take each increment back to the target market, convert feedback into backlog decisions, and ensure specifications reflect meaningful features.
  • Own product adoption during the MVP stage, ensuring that any portfolio failure arises from a disproven hypothesis rather than users being unable or unwilling to engage due to preventable product choices.
  • Present product, user, and technical evidence during stage gate discussions for transitioning an MVP into a scalable product.
  • Provide build estimates for externally sourced opportunities, taking into account internal cost, capacity, time, and principal delivery risks, serving as a counterweight to rent-or-partner proposals.
  • Manage end-to-end programme and project management for each funded MVP: establish integrated plans, milestones, dependencies, and decision points; manage scope, risks, and changes; escalate delivery constraints; and cleanly close or transition work at each gate.

Decision Rights
You will own the product specification, acceptance criteria, and backlog prioritization within an approved initiative. You will determine whether product and user evidence is sufficient to present at a stage gate; the Investment Committee will decide whether the initiative progresses.

Required Experience and Capabilities

  • Proven relevant experience in digital product management, product development, technology-enabled transformation, or a related field (further experience is required for candidates without an advanced degree).
  • Demonstrated end-to-end accountability for digital products from discovery and business case to build, launch, and adoption, preferably across multiple markets.
  • Experience shipping digital products. Ability to write and defend specifications, make trade-offs, and pivot when evidence dictates.
  • Credibility with engineers and architects: understands technical capabilities, development timelines, dependencies, and realistic promises.
  • Equally credible with commercial leaders, initiative sponsors, and users; the role requires translation in both directions and the authority to hold each side to agreed outcomes.
  • Highly structured, with rigorous control of scope, timeline, product quality, and decision records.
  • Ability to estimate build cost and effort sufficiently for a meaningful comparison between renting versus building.
  • Experience influencing delivery teams and senior sponsors without possessing engineering resources.

Benefits

  • Work in a patient-centric company grounded in values of courage, joy, equity, and excellence.
  • Engage in a digital transformation strategy aimed at enhancing health outcomes and patient experiences through new data, modeling, and automated solutions.
  • Enjoy a flexible workplace culture fostering work-life harmony and attracting top talent.
  • Be part of a diverse and inclusive workforce essential for successful business operations and committed to empowering employees.
  • Join as a Disability Confident Employer that supports and enables applicants with unique abilities in their career journey.
