Professional Services Consultant

The Professional Services Consultant works with clients and partners both remotely and on-site on engagements of medium-to-high complexity. This role primarily focuses on the implementation aspects of project delivery, including the implementation of firewall and other enhanced security products, as well as optimizing and operating these services along with related documentation. The position requires a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who follows a structured approach to implementing IT security solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a clear overall understanding of customer engagement objectives, project scope, and business and technical requirements.
• Participate in architecture design workshops with customers and/or partners and provide necessary input.
• Develop project-related documents, including High-Level Design, Low-Level Design, Migration Plan, Test Plan, Methods of Procedures, Network Implementation Plan, As-Built guide, etc.
• Participate in scoping meetings, providing input related to the development of statements of work based on accurate analysis of customers' requirements.
• Ensure project documents are accurate, complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Perform deployment, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of Fortinet security solutions in the customer environment.
• Assist customers through the rollout, migration, or go-live phase for deployed security solutions.
• Perform knowledge transfer sessions for customers’ staff on relevant Fortinet security solutions.
• Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
• Minimize Fortinet’s exposure and risk on projects.
• Complete and submit internal required administrative tasks (timesheets, activities reports, project reports, etc.).
• Continuously develop knowledge and skills to remain proficient with relevant Fortinet technologies, products, and services through self-study or training.

Job Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in LAN/WAN/Internet consulting, support, and/or administration.
• 6+ years of experience with network security products.
• Experience as a Professional Services senior consultant or engineer is a plus.
• Expertise in Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) and at least 2 of the following technologies: Email Security, Advanced Threat Protection, Endpoint Security, Application Security, Web Application Firewall, Network Security Management, SIEM, Network Virtualization, Software Defined Networks (SDN), or other cloud-based security technologies.
• Excellent presentation and technical documentation skills.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to elicit cooperation from various sources, including senior management, clients, and other departments.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or management discipline and/or equivalent extensive work-related experience.
