Professional Services Consultant

The Professional Services Consultant works with clients and partners both remotely and onsite on engagements of medium to high complexity. This role focuses on the implementation aspects of project delivery, such as implementing firewall and other enhanced security products, along with optimizing and operating these services and any related documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a clear understanding of customer engagement objectives, project scope, and both business and technical requirements.
• Participate in architecture design workshops with customers and partners, providing necessary input.
• Develop project-related documents, including High-Level Design, Low-Level Design, Migration Plan, Test Plan, Methods of Procedures, Network Implementation Plan, and As-Built guide.
• Participate in scoping meetings and contribute to the development of statements of work based on accurate analysis of customer requirements.
• Ensure project documents are accurate, complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Perform deployment, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of Fortinet security solutions in the customer environment.
• Assist customers during the rollout, migration, or go-live phase for the deployed security solution.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for customer staff on relevant Fortinet security solutions.
• Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely manner while minimizing Fortinet’s exposure and risk on projects.
• Complete and submit internal administrative tasks such as timesheets, activity reports, and project reports.
• Continuously develop knowledge and skills to remain proficient with Fortinet technologies, products, and services.

Job Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in LAN/WAN/Internet consulting, support, and/or administration.
• 6+ years of experience with Network Security Products.
• Experience as a Professional Services senior consultant or engineer is preferred.
• Expertise in Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and at least 2 of the following technologies: Email Security, Advanced Threat Protection, Endpoint Security, Application Security, Web Application Firewall, Network Security Management, SIEM, Network Virtualization, Software Defined Networks (SDN), and/or other cloud-based security technologies.
• Strong presentation and technical documentation skills.
• Good troubleshooting abilities with a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Proven capacity to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills to elicit cooperation from senior management, clients, and other departments.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
• Positive customer service attitude with strong soft skills.
• Ability to drive projects to successful completion with political sensitivity.
• Strong commitment and self-driven mentality.
• Extensive travel required (up to 70%).

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or management discipline, or equivalent extensive work-related experience.
