Position

The Program Manager is responsible and accountable for the cross-functional management of new product development and sustaining projects. These projects vary in complexity and span multiple functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures. The Program Manager coordinates efforts across engineering, offering management, manufacturing, procurement, quality, order fulfillment, logistics, service, marketing, sales, and other cross-functional groups to optimize time to market while monitoring project and product cost, schedule, and resources. This role requires building credibility, establishing rapport, and maintaining communication with project stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization, to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate cross-functional planning and project execution to ensure delivery on time and within budget, meeting the agreed-upon scope.
  • Monitor team schedules and coordinate activities on the critical path.
  • Provide executive-level program updates to senior management and executive sponsors.
  • Develop reporting and tracking programs to assure projects remain on target for schedule and cost.
  • Identify key issues and drive decisions to prevent project delays.
  • Identify key risks and prepare contingency plans.
  • Ensure projects follow the New Product Development & Introduction (NPDi) process.
  • Assist project team members as required.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; a Master of Business Administration is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and achieve common goals.
  • Competence in problem-solving, data analysis, and project planning.
  • Experience leading cross-functional meetings and presenting to small groups, both in person and via conference call.
  • Ability to quickly develop cross-functional relationships to achieve business objectives.
  • Process and results-oriented with a track record of goal accomplishment.
  • Experience with 3-phase power distribution or Busbar products is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, Microsoft Project, and Smartsheet.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
