Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee security compliance programs aligned with defense and government standards.
  • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve security frameworks.
  • Ensure ongoing readiness for certification, accreditation, and regulatory obligations.
  • Develop, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, standards, and documentation.
  • Maintain detailed compliance records to ensure auditability and transparency.
  • Work closely with engineering, IT, operations, and program teams to ensure secure processes and aligned compliance practices.
  • Identify security risks and drive comprehensive mitigation strategies.
  • Support incident response efforts, reporting, and continuous security monitoring activities.
  • Provide guidance on industry best practices, emerging regulatory landscape, and security program maturity.
  • Promote a culture of security awareness across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in security program or compliance management within a defense or highly regulated environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of defense and government security compliance standards and frameworks, including those commonly used in regulated and national security environments.
  • Strong understanding of audit processes, risk management, and technical security controls.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CAP, PMP) are a strong advantage.
