Programmer/Analyst II - Secret Clearance

About the Role
The Programmer/Analyst II is responsible for deploying and supporting custom-built and out-of-the-box solutions with SharePoint 2010. This position also supports and develops software applications using ASP.NET for internal customers, ensuring program integration with necessary services and automating functions whenever applicable. The Programmer/Analyst will report to the Operations Manager and take direction from the Programmer Analyst III. The program focuses on OMDAC-SWACA.

Note: You must satisfy all host country requirements to legally work in the host country, which includes obtaining and maintaining a host nation visa and host nation driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Technical Leads to gather user requirements and translate them into design specifications.
• Design and develop reports, incorporating input from technical staff and user groups.
• Conduct performance tuning of reports.
• Implement and maintain code for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Test enhancement and development programs along with MS SQL code.
• Participate in structured code reviews and walkthroughs.
• Make recommendations for functional and technical improvements to system components and applications.
• Provide strong SQL coding experience with a comprehensive understanding of MS SQL database structure, stored procedures, ETL, and routine maintenance.
• Utilize deep modeling, design, and coding skills.
• The working environment will consist of approximately 80% office and 20% outside duties.
• Perform other duties and assignments as required.

Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Requires an active Secret Clearance.
• Education/Certifications: One year of relevant experience can substitute for one year of education; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Candidates must comply with DoD 8570.01M requirements, maintaining at least one (1) baseline certification and one (1) computing environment certification. Baseline Environment (BE) certifications cannot be used as Computing Environment (CE) certifications.
  • Authorized certifications for this position:
    • BASELINE: Cisco CCNP: Certified Network Professional - Security, CompTIA CASP+ ce: Advanced Security Practitioner, CompTIA Security+ ce, GIAC GCIH: Certified Incident Handler, GIAC GSEC: Security Essentials, ISACA CISA: Certified Information Systems Auditor, ISC2 CISSP (or Associate): Certified Information Systems Security Professional, ISC2 SSCP: Systems Security Certified Practitioner.
  • COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT (CE): Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft MCPD: SharePoint Developer 2010, Microsoft MCSD: Certified Solutions Developer (Any), Microsoft MCSE: Core Infrastructure, Microsoft MCSE: Database Management and Analytics, Microsoft MCSE: Productivity Solutions Expert.
• Experience:
  • Two to three years of experience developing custom UI solutions in SharePoint 2010/2013.
  • Experience migrating knowledge from SharePoint 2010 to 2013 and knowledge of installing and configuring SharePoint 2010 is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with integrating SharePoint with other web applications.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting in a SharePoint environment.
  • 5+ years of coding in .NET and Object-Oriented development.
  • Proficiency in ASP.NET and MVC framework.
  • Skilled in using Visual Studio 2012, TFS, SQL Server Management Studio, and SQL Server Profiler.
  • Solid background in developing custom responsive UI solutions using CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, and HTML5. Advanced knowledge of MS SQL (stored procedures, views, functions).
  • Proficient in languages including C#, VB.NET, MS SQL, PowerShell, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Familiarity with libraries such as Bootstrap, jQuery, Underscore.js, Handlebars.js, or mustache.js.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure and Windows operating systems is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working in a customer service-oriented company.

Working Environment

• 95% of the work will be indoors and 5% outdoors.
• Candidates must be able to handle outdoor work environments that may exceed temperatures of 100 degrees F.

Physical Requirements

• Must be capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must be capable of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (helmet and plated vest) that can weigh 25 to 40 lbs for extended periods.
