What You Will Need to Do
- Draft project-specific Project Controls Procedures as per contract requirements.
- Participate in preparing project internal and external reports in the required format.
- Initiate, coordinate, and maintain Project List(s) of Deliverables, including project procedures and plans, engineering, procurement, material submittals, and method statements.
- Assemble procurement packages which include quantities take-off, contract specifications, technical requirements, and delivery schedules.
- Initiate and maintain a Procurement Status Register.
- Prepare and maintain a Subcontractors Register.
- Assist in drafting subcontract agreements and negotiating subcontract prices.
- Support subcontracts administration and related correspondences, measurements, payment certification, and final account closings.
- Coordinate and maintain the Engineering Deliverables Status Register.
- Create a List of Project Materials along with required quantities and maintain continuous project materials reconciliation.
- Ensure that project records and diaries are maintained, including photos, daily activities, climate conditions, utilized & idle resources, productivity tracking, and significant events or verbal site instructions.
- Monitor the Contract Scope of Work and any Variations.
- Prepare and maintain Variations and Claims Registers.
- Collect, maintain, and group contemporary records necessary for assessment and substantiation of Variations and Claims.
- Prepare Variation and Claim submissions.
- Collaborate with quantity surveyors to prepare and submit monthly payment requests.
- Assist in preparing budget and current estimates, monitoring variances.
- Participate in establishing project cost centers and allocating costs accordingly.
Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering.
- 5 years relevant experience in the construction industry at a similar level.
- Experience in EPC Projects with ADNOC (or equivalent) is essential.
- Capability to perform under stressful situations.
- Knowledge of cost estimation, cost control, planning, risk management, and contractual matters.
- Awareness of engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning processes.
- Fluency in the English language.
- Knowledge of project management tools.
- Understanding of basic financial concepts.
