Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination: Develop and maintain project plans for data initiatives, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of data projects. Manage dependencies and risks across multiple data programs.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure all data projects adhere to governance frameworks, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Support the implementation of data governance policies and processes within project scope.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track progress of data projects and report status to stakeholders using dashboards and KPIs. Prepare executive summaries and detailed reports for Data Office leadership. Monitor budget and resource utilization for data initiatives.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues impacting project delivery. Develop mitigation plans and escalate critical risks to leadership. Ensure timely resolution of project-related issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the central point of contact for data project stakeholders. Facilitate communication between business functions, technical teams, and governance roles. Organize steering committees and project review meetings.
- Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to project management processes for data initiatives. Implement best practices for data project delivery and documentation.
Required Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Familiarity with data management principles, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar).
- Ability to create dashboards and visual reports (Power BI, Tableau preferred).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Data Management, or related field.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile) preferred.
- Experience in managing data-related projects or programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
