We are seeking an experienced professional with a minimum of 20 years of experience, including mandatory experience delivering Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects, to lead a major LRT project in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in LRT project delivery, providing leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from design review and procurement to construction, systems integration, testing and commissioning, and project handover. This project encompasses stations, depot facilities, rolling stock, rail systems, civil works, and operational readiness activities.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall delivery of major LRT and Tram projects from inception through completion.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to multidisciplinary project and engineering teams.
- Establish project delivery strategies and oversee project governance, planning, and execution activities.
- Manage relationships with clients, authorities, consultants, contractors, operators, and key project stakeholders.
- Ensure effective coordination across civil works, rolling stock, depot, utility, and operational interfaces.
- Monitor project performance and ensure achievement of programme, budget, quality, safety, and contractual objectives.
- Oversee testing and commissioning, systems integration, certification, and project handover activities.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and delivery performance across the project team.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 20 years of professional experience, including mandatory hands-on LRT project delivery experience.
- Proven experience delivering major LRT projects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Previous experience as a Project Director, Programme Director, Delivery Director, or in an equivalent senior leadership role on LRT projects.
- Strong project management experience across design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, and project handover phases.
- Demonstrated experience leading large multidisciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong understanding of LRT project delivery, project controls, risk management, and contract administration.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Project Director experience on GCC-based LRT or Tram projects.
- Experience within a Project Management Consultant (PMC), Engineer, or Employer’s Representative environment.
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration.
- Experience delivering major LRT or Tram projects in the Middle East.
