Responsibilities
- Understand technical and commercial requirements of the contract
- Book the order in the system after technical and commercial review
- Coordinate with Buyer for ordering materials with the right technical specifications
- Expedite with suppliers’ and manufacturing sites
- Submit technical documents and arrange approval by the client
- Coordinate with the Finance team for bank guarantee submissions and progress payment invoices
- Collaborate with other functions and arrange for shipment of orders, completing post-order documentation
- Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies
- Work with freight forwarders as necessary
- Ensure orders are shipped within contractual delivery time
- Coordinate with the Engineering team and obtain drawing approvals from the customer
- Support production by providing tactical advice and guidance on specification deviations and waivers, and other activities as required
- Conduct production planning meetings to communicate product requirements, specifications, timelines, etc., to all applicable departments including Engineering, product management, production, quality, and procurement
- Prepare Inspection and Test plans
- Fulfill other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Engineering graduate in mechanical, production, or instrumentation engineering
- Candidates with a Diploma and 10+ years of experience in project management will be considered
- 7+ years of related experience in the valve industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Exposure to dealing with global customers
- Collaborative team player and self-starter capable of working under minimal supervision
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
