Project Engineer Busbar LOB

The Project Engineer is responsible for the cross-functional management of new product development and sustaining projects. These projects vary in complexity, spanning functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures. The Project Engineer coordinates the efforts of various teams, including engineering, offering management, manufacturing, procurement, quality, logistics, service, marketing, and sales, to optimize time to market while managing project costs, schedules, and resources.

Key responsibilities include:

• Facilitating cross-functional planning and execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet scope requirements.
• Monitoring team schedules and coordinating activities on the critical path.
• Providing executive-level updates to senior management and sponsors.
• Tracking project targets in terms of schedule and cost, identifying key issues and risks, and preparing contingency plans.
• Ensuring adherence to the New Product Development & Introduction (NPDI) process.
• Leading continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in project management, specifically in new product development within a manufacturing context.
• Experience with waterfall (stage gate) project management methods.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of risk management and response methods, along with Gantt Chart schedule management.
• Capable of facilitating communications among stakeholders and reporting on project KPIs.
• Experience in project planning and demonstrated problem-solving, data analysis, and competency in leading cross-functional meetings.
• Experience with 3-phase power distribution or Busbar products is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications. Familiarity with Microsoft Project or Smartsheet is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• PMP or similar project management training is preferred but not compulsory.

Language Requirements
Good communication skills in English are required.
