Project Engineer

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Project Engineer to join their Infrastructure team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the Engineering Department, combining technical experience and knowledge for the management of design deliverables by the client’s design consultants for infrastructure works and the master plan.

The role involves managing infrastructure programs for Expo 2030 Riyadh, which will serve as a global platform for collaboration under the theme "Foresight for Tomorrow." The event is expected to welcome over 40 million visitors and focuses on sustainable development and innovation.

Major Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, manage, and monitor the design deliverables produced by the client’s design consultant.
• Provide feedback to the Design Project Manager regarding progress, key issues, and risks.
• Coordinate the design review processes, hazard and risk logs, and comments from various stakeholders.
• Assist the Contracts Department and Construction teams in pre-construction and post contract award activities.
• Review contractor construction drawings and respond to technical queries to ensure compliance with design intent.

Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree from an accredited university with 5-10 years of relevant experience in design management related to infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards pertinent to the discipline.
• Proficiency in current computer applications for engineering and design including CAD (2-D and 3-D), AutoCAD, MS Word, and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills (oral and written).
