Project Engineer NPDI

The Project Engineer is responsible for the cross-functional management of new product development and sustaining projects within the Busbar Line of Business (LOB). Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Global Programme Management, the Project Engineer coordinates efforts across multiple functions—engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, logistics, marketing, and sales—ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include planning and executing projects, providing program updates to senior management, ensuring adherence to development processes, monitoring schedules and costs, identifying risks, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in project management within the manufacturing industry (IT experience is not considered).
• Familiarity with waterfall (stage-gate) project management methodologies.
• Proficient communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of risk management and Gantt chart schedule management.
• Experience in stakeholder communication and project KPI reporting.
• Demonstrated competence in problem-solving, data analysis, and project planning.
• Preferred experience with 3-phase power distribution or Busbar products.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications; experience with Microsoft Project or Smartsheet is preferred.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• PMP or other project management training is preferred but not compulsory.
