The Project Engineer is responsible for the cross-functional management of new product development (NPD) and sustaining projects. These projects can vary in complexity and will span functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures. The role involves coordinating the efforts of various teams, including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, logistics, and more, to optimize time to market while managing project costs, schedules, and resources. The Project Engineer must build credibility and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate planning and execution of projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Monitor schedules and critical paths for coordinated activities.
- Provide program updates to senior management and executive sponsors.
- Track project progress to assure schedules and costs are on target.
- Identify key issues and drive decisions, preparing contingency plans as needed.
- Lead continuous improvement projects.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in project management.
- Experience in new product development in the manufacturing industry (IT experience not considered).
- Proficient in waterfall (stage-gate) project management methods.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Knowledge in risk management and response methods; familiarity with Gantt chart schedule management.
- Experience in project KPI reporting and planning.
- Competent in problem-solving and data analysis.
- Preferred experience with 3-phase power distribution or Busbar products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications; experience with Microsoft Project or Smartsheet is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- PMP or any other project management training is preferred but not compulsory.
