In this role, you will act as a technical lead for all engineering activities classified as low to medium engineering complexity, with expertise in Power Management Systems (PMS) and Substation Control and Monitoring Systems (SCMS), or Process Control and/or Safety Systems with ABB 800xA/S+ and/or other ABB Control Systems. You will ensure efficient and cost-effective execution of project activities in line with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements, while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures for conventional projects.
- Execute assignments using established solutions and apply safety rules and environmental responsibilities.
- Act as a design authority, completing engineering assignments and approving design deliverables.
- Interact with customers, contractors, and suppliers while attending project meetings.
- Plan and execute service work according to customer expectations to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Perform complex field service tasks, identify technical problems, and provide solutions.
- Support project installation, commissioning, and provide technical support for start-up activities.
- Lead and coordinate engineering teams on low to medium complexity projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and contractual requirements.
- Assist in creating proposals for new projects and perform engineering risk analyses.
Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree.
- Overall understanding of automation systems, with process knowledge in Oil & Gas or Power & Water sectors.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar automation role.
- Knowledge of ABB or other control systems (e.g., 800xA, PMS, SCMS, ICSS, IEC 61850, Symphony Plus).
- Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity and networking solutions.
- Strong customer interpersonal skills, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Language Requirements: Proficiency in English (specific language requirements not mentioned).
