The Project Manager will lead the delivery of complex data center infrastructure projects—encompassing new builds, expansions, and upgrades. This role is responsible for the end-to-end project delivery process, which includes scope definition, vendor engagement, procurement, installation, and final handover, ensuring that all milestones are reached on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the full end-to-end project management lifecycle (Business Requirements, Design, Planning, Execution, and Handover) meeting business specifications, quality, cost, and schedule.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, monitoring progress, and making necessary adjustments for successful completion.
- Create and maintain up-to-date documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, RAID logs, change requests, and technical documentation.
- Manage internal stakeholder expectations and communications effectively.
- Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution of any issues.
- Facilitate workshops with cross-functional teams for requirement gathering and tracking progress.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers for high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee installation and commissioning phases, coordinating logistics and on-site activities.
- Ensure the handover of infrastructure to operations teams with full documentation and training.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrable Project Management experience in delivering complex and multi-faceted projects within the tech industry, preferably focused on AI and GPU projects.
- A degree in project management, computer science, engineering, or a related field; a master's degree or MBA is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster).
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project).
- Strong leadership skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
- Understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, and high-performance computing architectures.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as Uptime Institute, TIA-942, and ASHRAE guidelines.
- Experience with Tier 3 data center design and construction, HSE, and compliance requirements.
