Job Description:
- Oversee and coordinate all project activities, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
- Manage and lead a large project management team of interdisciplinary professionals.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental Protection standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and make necessary adjustments to maintain schedules.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, risks, opportunities, and performance metrics.
- Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Oversee project budgets for efficient and effective allocation of financial resources.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with project execution.
- Lead the evaluation and constructability of technical and financial proposals.
- Solve technical challenges that may arise during construction.
- Demonstrate knowledge of international construction/contract law and contract administration procedures.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- A minimum of 12 years of post-graduate experience in a technical lead capacity.
- Extensive experience in managing design and project administration for large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly sewerage, surface, and groundwater networks.
- Proven experience in technical and financial proposals, evaluation, and constructability.
- Strong leadership abilities to manage a diverse project management team.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and the ability to make informed decisions relating to staff responsibilities.
- Membership in an accredited Project Management Institution is advantageous.
- Chartered Engineer status in the UK or recognized professional institution preferred.
Desired Skills:
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Strong leadership qualities to motivate a multi-discipline team within a Design Build project environment.
- Mandatory computer skills.
- Experience working in the UAE and/or the Gulf region is highly preferred.
