The company is an international game development studio focused on creating strategy games for mobile and PC. We are seeking a Project Manager to facilitate project execution, ensuring smooth operations, team alignment, and high-quality deliveries. This role goes beyond traditional administrative tasks; the candidate should possess a solid understanding of game production to proactively identify potential issues and engage in product discussions, including gameplay and improvement suggestions.
The Project Manager will collaborate closely with leadership and development teams to set priorities, mitigate blockers, challenge timelines, and enhance workflows without sacrificing quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage multiple projects across diverse teams, ensuring timely delivery.
- Oversee resource management and promote efficient team operations.
- Understand the end-to-end game production pipeline to anticipate and address bottlenecks.
- Identify and resolve risks, blockers, and dependencies proactively.
- Engage with the product: play the game, grasp its systems and mechanics, and provide informed feedback.
- Challenge project timelines and assumptions to facilitate efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of quality in team outputs.
- Ensure clear and proactive communication across teams and stakeholders.
- Update Jira to reflect project priorities, progress, and blockers.
- Contribute to product and feature prioritization based on player impact, business value, and development effort.
Requirements:
- Project management experience with a mobile game generating $1M+ in annual revenue.
- Strong knowledge of game production pipelines and cross-team challenges.
- Passion for gaming, with the ability to critically evaluate and suggest game improvements.
- Experience working with remote teams.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, managing multiple projects.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English.
- Comfort in challenging assumptions and assessing timelines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with Agile workflows and tools such as Jira.
- A product-oriented mindset, understanding key mobile-game metrics like retention, engagement, conversion, and monetization.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in strategy game development.
- Background in game design, QA, production, or related areas.
- Familiarity with free-to-play economies, live operations, product analytics, or A/B testing.
