The Project Manager for GTB Digital Transformation is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end project management activities related to a large-scale transformation project and its associated initiatives. This role focuses on delivering project management outputs for the Transformation Program, which encompasses the business, functional, operational, and technical aspects of corporate banking solutions. The incumbent will be tasked with planning, executing, tracking, and implementing complex solutions, ensuring delivery aligns with both internal and external customer expectations while adhering to scoped timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Program Master Plan, integrating all initiatives defined as program pillars.
  • Create concrete project plans for each initiative to be included in the consolidated master plan.
  • Define milestones, tasks, resource allocation, timelines, dependencies, critical paths, and contingency actions across initiatives.
  • Agree on the master plan with stakeholders and present recommendations to a Steering Committee.
  • Coordinate the execution of project plans, incorporating design, development, testing, rollout, and stabilization.
  • Manage collaboration on the business case development and approval, tracking activities to align with approved budgets.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and well-organized reporting across all activities.
  • Engage and coordinate with vendors, ensuring their outputs align with project needs.
  • Facilitate customer engagement through defined customer journey initiatives.
  • Oversee a digitalization initiative that encompasses all relevant areas of the bank, ensuring cohesive integration and avoiding duplication.
  • Coordinate with all countries involved in the project scope for global implementation.
  • Manage governance instances, including organizing sessions, preparing documents, identifying action items, and tracking progress.
  • Provide leadership in digital technology implementation, including continuous delivery and vendor selection.
  • Engage in functional and technical design, build/integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of solutions.
  • Ensure alignment of business requirements with strategic goals and architecture.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, protocols, and tools relevant to corporate banking.

Operating Environment and Working Relationships

  • Collaborate with stakeholders from business units, enabling functions, third-party vendors, and senior management.
  • Adhere to project management, information controls, and security frameworks, including change and incident management processes.
  • Support the team with general administrative tasks, meeting organization, knowledge transfer, and reporting.
  • Keep management informed of project statuses, risks, issues, and team accomplishments.
  • Foster team achievements and promote high performance within the team.

Problem Solving Skills

  • Balance varying requirements of project stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with change management processes for all production rollouts.
  • Deliver cost-effective, scalable, and high-quality technology solutions.
  • Utilize existing applications to provide innovative solutions to business challenges.
  • Maintain disciplined practices in Testing and Release Management, Problem and Incident Management, Audit, and Compliance.

Decision Making Authority & Responsibility

  • Ensure all initiatives and the overall program are delivered on plan and within budget.
  • Confirm appropriate representation of all involved areas of the bank in projects.
  • Conduct governance instances effectively, ensuring informed decision-making processes.
  • Establish arbitration processes to define priorities and negotiate favorable outcomes with third parties.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Over 5 years of experience in a PMO role, demonstrating direct management of complex end-to-end system implementations.
  • Expert knowledge of digital market trends and experience in implementing related solutions.
  • Proficiency in implementation methodologies, including both Waterfall and Agile, and familiarity with PMO-specific tools.
  • Experience managing cross-border teams.
  • Strong business orientation with excellent organizational, team-building, and leadership qualities.
  • Solid program management and general management skills, with a focus on customer service and aligning business strategy with technology.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Vendor and user management experience, with a background in banking and product management as a significant plus.
