Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Conduct risk assessments.
- Define project deliverables and milestones for infrastructure design projects.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop project designs.
- Review and approve design documents and drawings.
- Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and client specifications.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of project sites.
- Monitor progress and performance against project plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control measures.
- Lead and mentor project teams, including project coordinators, engineers, and contractors.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Resolve conflicts and issues that arise during project execution.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction.
- Monitor project budgets and control costs.
- Allocate resources efficiently to meet project demands.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project management for infrastructure design projects, including at least 5 years in a leadership role on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated success managing multi-phase project delivery with complex interdependencies.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across infrastructure design projects.
- Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of design project delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
- Experience delivering early works or phased infrastructure design projects.
- Familiarity with local authority and regulatory environments.
- Background in consultant-side project management or design delivery management.
