Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide design strategies and overall project approaches to ensure client objectives are achieved and expectations are consistently met.
- Manage scope development and the tendering process for procurement of sub-consultants or third-party reviewers.
- Provide direction and management on design aspects related to infrastructure design projects, including roads, bridges, tunnels, utilities, landscape, and buildings.
- Collaborate with the Project Director to devise design management and delivery strategies ensuring technical excellence and on-schedule completion.
- Promote technical excellence on the project through quality assurance processes.
- Prepare, execute, monitor, and control design management plans.
- Maintain knowledge of drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
- Liaise with clients and their representatives regarding design progress.
- Establish meetings and design workshops to review project status and formulate action items.
- Manage design delivery across various disciplines, ensuring consistency and adherence to project vision and standards.
- Oversee activities of sub-consultants and coordinate with internal and external team members.
- Develop budgets, schedules, and plans in collaboration with management.
- Mentor and lead subordinates and young engineers to enhance their performance and career development.
- Monitor project quality and progress, addressing any issues related to discipline staffing or schedule performance.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Infrastructure/Above-ground assets within a consultancy.
- Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for complex challenges in unique project scenarios.
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to inspire effective collaboration among teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
