Role Overview
The Project Manager plays a crucial role in planning, executing, and delivering projects within the organization. Responsibilities include managing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to achieve project objectives and drive business success through technology initiatives. Duties also encompass creating business cases, evaluating project benefits, and utilizing project management tools effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project teams to develop applications starting from requirements gathering, planning, testing, and deployment using Agile Methodology with Scrum.
- Identify business needs, analyze requirements, create business cases, and define project scope.
- Develop project charters, schedules, and detailed project plans.
- Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Facilitate daily scrums, sprint planning, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.
- Serve as the point of contact for external communications with vendors and stakeholders.
- Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
- Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint.
- Support others in problem-solving and mentor team members to enhance their contributions to development, performance, and security.
- Participate in the testing and validation of systems.
- Create and evaluate basic business cases, assessing both cost and benefits.
Qualifications
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in project management, preferably with a background in cryptocurrency and/or financial services.
- Experience in Scrum and other Agile processes.
- Proficiency in JIRA Software (configuration, maintenance, and administration).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles, Docker, and Kubernetes preferred.
- Ability to create and evaluate business cases, focusing on project benefits.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
