EDGE Commercial is established to oversee the strategic management of commercial activities across the group, enabling individual entities to focus on their core product portfolios. The Project Manager is responsible for planning and implementing multiple defense projects through all phases of execution while adhering to specified budgets and timelines. The incumbent will determine project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed of milestones.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and design a detailed project plan, define project scope, and determine resources, estimated costs, and timelines to achieve project goals.
- Ensure timely and on-budget delivery of all projects.
- Maintain the EDGE Enterprise SAP and Microsoft Project systems for your project.
- Establish a robust assessment process and metrics to measure project outcomes and results.
- Employ industry best practices, techniques, and standards during project execution.
- Maintain constant communication and visibility of project progress with key stakeholders.
- Adjust or reallocate resources as necessary to accommodate required changes.
- Identify and escalate project risks and issues, facilitating communication for decision-making and mitigation.
- Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Collect, organize, and communicate feedback to enhance customer experience, streamline processes, and reduce operating costs.
- Evaluate and assess project results, providing recommendations for future improvements.
Supporting Accountabilities:
- Develop and manage budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-reduction areas.
- Prepare cost-benefit analyses for financial decision-making.
- Analyze project operations to identify savings opportunities and implement cost-reduction strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, peers, entities, and service providers.
- Work with Contract and Procurement departments to negotiate contracts and rates for optimal company value.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and supply chain activities.
- Prepare reports on project performance, budget adherence, and cost-saving initiatives.
Experience & Education:
- 8 years of experience in Project Management, including at least 5 years in defense, aerospace, or advanced technology sectors with exposure to international programs.
- Strong background in stakeholder management and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in MS Project, SAP, and cost control systems.
- Experience with complex, export-controlled international projects and global supply chains.
- Experience overseeing international programs in the USD $100m+ range.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Professional certification preferred (e.g., PMI, PMP, APM).
