Job Description
- Project Management & Strategic Planning: Oversee all phases of projects, develop comprehensive project plans including timelines and resource allocation, and ensure compliance with local zoning laws and regulations in Middle Eastern countries.
- Stakeholder & Client Relationship Management: Act as the main liaison for clients and regulatory authorities, build relationships with local stakeholders, and conduct regular client meetings to provide updates.
- Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and oversee procurement processes, focusing on Middle Eastern suppliers and contractors.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead a multidisciplinary team, mentor team members, and conduct performance reviews while maintaining productivity in high-pressure environments.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Implement quality control processes, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Risk Management & Problem Solving: Identify potential risks, resolve issues impacting timelines, and ensure adaptability to regional challenges.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in urban/master planning and project management in the construction industry, with a strong portfolio of large-scale and luxury projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects in Middle Eastern countries, with in-depth knowledge of local regulations and cultural considerations.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Desired Skills
- PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications.
- Experience in sustainable planning and green building practices in arid climates.
- Familiarity with luxury construction practices and high-net-worth client management.
- Knowledge of Middle Eastern environmental and sustainability standards.
