Project Manager

About the Role
The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and within budget. In this hands-on role, you will lead and manage enterprise software projects from kick-off to go-live, directly interacting with customers. You will take full responsibility for project delivery by managing customer expectations and internal stakeholders, proactively anticipating issues, and managing necessary changes. A key activity will be defining the project success criteria and continually leading project expectations to all stakeholders. This position is hybrid and based in Dubai.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Project Delivery

• Project management and coordination of new implementation projects and client upgrades, including developing Project Plans and Gantt Charts.
• Monitoring, updating, and reporting on progress internally and to clients; providing written reports as required and managing project risks and issues.
• Identify and manage project resources, assigning individual responsibilities to project tasks.
• Hold regular status meetings with customers and key stakeholders regarding resources, project scope, scope changes, additional services, and go-live activities.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope and charge customers appropriately, identifying potential issues and risks, and devising contingency plans to keep the project on track.
• Ensure project legal documents are completed and signed.
• Take full responsibility for project sign-off.

Project Accounting

• Accurately forecast revenue and utilization while managing the project budget.
• Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and monitoring receivables, including following up with clients regarding unpaid invoices.
• Analyze project profitability, revenue, bill rates, and utilization.
• Track and report team hours and expenses weekly.

Manage Client and Key Stakeholder Relationships

• Develop lasting relationships with client personnel to foster strong client ties.
• Set and manage client expectations while handling day-to-day client interactions.
• Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
• Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

Education and Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Software Development, Project Management, IT, or equivalent experience in a related role, especially in the Transport sector.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in project management within software development, service delivery, or similar roles, with a proven track record in people management in an IT services environment.
• Experience with client engagements and managing technical projects at a high level.
• Strong financial and commercial skills; experience dealing with clients of all sizes and managing expectations across multiple levels of the customer organization with expertise in managing budgets (basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-complete projections).
• Demonstrable knowledge of project management methodologies with an understanding of and ability to apply a disciplined process approach.
• Understanding of software applications, database organization, and system design.
• Experience working with government clients would be advantageous.
• Experience in delivering mobility-related projects for government agencies is a plus.
