As a Project Manager for the company's Devices business, you will coordinate and complete large complex customer-facing projects, overseeing all aspects of project delivery and acting as the primary liaison between the company's engineering teams and customers. Your projects will involve delivering Ubuntu images on a diverse range of devices including robots, edge gateways, IoT devices, PCs, and automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects through their complete life cycle, ensuring that goals for both the company and the client are met.
  • Successfully deliver engineering professional services for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams on custom board enablement and delivery of Ubuntu images.
  • Draft and maintain project-specific schedules and obtain client agreements.
  • Manage project risks and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify custom engineering requests not covered by existing contracts.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Solid project management experience in delivering engineering services, managing software development teams, and field engineers.
  • Experience managing projects with cross-cultural and multi-continent teams, preferably involving resources from Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
  • An educational degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and the wider Open Source Software community, and understanding of computer architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and experience in building successful partnerships.
  • PMP/PMI or PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification is preferred.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours and ability to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficient in English (verbal and written).
