Position

As a Project Manager for the company's Devices business, you will be responsible for coordinating and completing large, complex, customer-facing projects, serving as the primary liaison between the company's engineering teams and customers.

Your responsibilities will include managing projects throughout their full life cycle, delivering engineering professional services, assisting in project statement development, drafting schedules and project plans, and ensuring effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders. The role involves overseeing the delivery of Ubuntu images across a variety of devices, from robots and IoT devices to PCs and automotive systems, and requires building strong relationships with various partners.

Location: Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Remote)
Work Conditions: Full-time, Remote, with potential for travel up to 4 times a year for internal events; non-traditional hours may be required.

Requirements:

  • Solid project management experience in delivering engineering services.
  • Extensive experience managing cross-cultural and multi-continent projects.
  • Educational degree preferably in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.
  • Good knowledge of Linux and the open source software community.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities, with experience in building partnerships.
  • PMP/PMI or PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours as required.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficient in English (both verbal and written).
