About the Role
This role involves leading the execution of medium-size to large and moderately complex GIS projects. You will ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with company policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, and health, safety, and environment requirements. You will also be responsible for meeting financial targets and schedules, establishing the project execution approach, overseeing project handover, execution planning, and the control of both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Execute projects as per contract scope, schedule, and contractual conditions.
• Review contracts received from sales, understand terms and conditions, and identify risks impacting margin and performance.
• Plan, monitor, and control project activities (Scope, Time, and Cost) proactively, including project handover and execution planning.
• Develop project schedules and coordinate with stakeholders to finalize them; maintain updates for the project-wise Master document list.
• Execute process activities in SAP and maintain documentation as per ISO and internal process requirements throughout the project cycle.
• Coordinate with Engineering and customers for timely approval of drawings and resolution of project-related queries/issues during execution.
• Serve as the single point of contact and escalation point for customers regarding project issues, ensuring that commitments to customers are met in accordance with the contract.
• Enhance customer satisfaction through consistent interaction, building trust, confidence, and loyalty.
• Prepare and submit project progress reports to customers as required by contractual obligations.
• Monitor and document change requests from customers related to project scope, obtaining necessary approvals for time extensions and additional costs.
• Evaluate and identify project risks proactively, implementing mitigating actions and preparing a project-specific risk and opportunities management plan.
• Coordinate Customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and ensure timely dispatch clearances, liaising with the commercial team for invoicing and logistics, and the service team for installation, testing, and commissioning at site.
• Report project status or progress to internal stakeholders/management with appropriate details.
• Adhere to the project management processes in the organization.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical engineering is preferred.
• 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in project execution of GIS projects, substation projects, or similar projects related to design, supply, and installation of high voltage equipment.
• Preference for candidates with experience working with customers in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to convince stakeholders in the interest of the project.
• Ability to work under pressure to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with quality.
• Proficient in SAP or another ERP system.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
