You‘ll make a difference by

  • Analyzing technical information for projects by reviewing specifications, scopes of work, single line diagrams, protection logic diagrams, existing system data, and obtaining required technical clarifications.
  • Conducting customer site visits, analyzing retrofit design solutions, and preparing site survey reports, method statements, and risk assessments/SAT formats.
  • Demonstrating a thorough knowledge of Siprotec-4, Siprotec-5, Reyrolle products, and RTU/SCMS/FMS components.
  • Having a good understanding of cubicle types: Swing Frame, Fixed Frame, Dead Front, etc.
  • Preparing Base Design documents in accordance with engineering standards including AC/DC load assessments, CT&VT adequacy checks, Technical Data Sheets, and compliance specifications.
  • Compiling Protection Relay Lists, SCMS/FMS/RTU equipment lists, SCMS architecture, signal lists, Functional Design Specifications (FDS), and cable schedules.
  • Preparing and supervising the Detailed Design documents for Protection/FMS/RTU/SCMS panels following engineering standards, including general arrangements, scheme drawings, terminal plans, label lists, wiring tables, and ferrule lists using software tools such as A-CAD, ELCAD, EBASE, and MS Visio.
  • Developing retrofit designs based on customer requirements using PDF scheme pages.
  • Preparing ordering Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on design approvals and keeping as-manufactured and as-built drawings updated.
  • Preparing RFQ documents for the factory and submitting them to the project manager.
  • Reviewing and coordinating Factory Issued Construction documents and obtaining clarifications from the factory under the guidance of the Engineering Manager/Application Manager.
  • Processing internal and external design change requests during project execution.
  • Attending vendor meetings, customer meetings, factory visits for design reviews, inspections, and related engineering topics.
  • Maintaining constant communication with the Engineering Manager/Application Manager on pending issues and the status of project designs.
  • Controlling and actively influencing the execution of the forecasted engineering schedule in terms of design.

Your success is grounded in

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized local or international university or technical institute.
  • Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken) with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in Protection & Automation Designs.
  • Proficiency in software tools including A-CAD, ELCAD, EBASE, and MS Visio.
