Public Policy Manager, KSA, AWS Global Public Policy

Would you like to be part of a public policy team focused on increasing awareness and adoption of Amazon Web Services (AWS) among enterprises, public sector, and regulated industries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia? We are looking for a talented, innovative individual to represent AWS before policymakers in the region. The successful candidate will proactively build relationships with key policymakers and IT decision-makers, addressing policy risks to AWS customers while advancing strategic business opportunities in the IT services industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and implement Saudi Arabia government affairs advocacy objectives and policy/political priorities for AWS.
• Represent key policy positions directly and through industry associations to ensure a transparent and innovation-friendly regulatory environment.
• Collaborate transparently with AWS business units to align core business priorities and public policy goals.
• Assess potential regulatory issues and develop strategic advocacy efforts in line with AWS objectives.
• Facilitate high-level meetings between AWS executives and key stakeholders to promote company policies.
• Maintain corporate membership opportunities in industry associations and utilize outside consultants effectively.

Requirements

• 8 to 10 years of experience in policy advocacy and government affairs with national and local policymakers.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic.
• High levels of ethical conduct, confidentiality, and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of the country’s political landscape and IT issues, including cloud computing and cybersecurity.
• Experience achieving meaningful changes to legislation through public policy advocacy.
• Strong communication, research, and analytical skills to develop and support policy positions.
• Effective time-management skills for prioritizing and managing multiple workstreams.
