Roles and Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Taking all necessary precautions to protect the environment.
- Ensuring personal safety and the safety of co-workers by adhering to safety protocols.
- Participating in internal and any required training programs as mandated by management.
- Engaging in daily toolbox talks and following instructions from site coordinators and crew leaders.
- Utilizing and maintaining all safety devices provided for job execution.
- Properly using all tools under your control and selecting the right tools for each job.
- Reporting for work in suitable clothing that does not pose safety hazards.
- Performing work in a safe and alert manner, remaining aware of potential unseen dangers.
- Prioritizing safety, never sacrificing personal or others' safety to perform duties.
- Keeping work areas clean and maintaining housekeeping standards.
- Performing Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) in accordance with approved procedural requirements.
- Identifying requirements for heating elements, gauges, placement, and the number of thermocouples in accordance with approved procedures.
- Determining specifications for heating bands, soaking bands, and insulation band widths per approved procedures.
- Setting recorders with chart speed requirements and making all necessary connections.
- Understanding heating rates, soaking, and cooling requirements, while operating control systems as per approved procedures.
- Demonstrating necessary techniques as specified by project-specific approved procedures.
- Reading PWHT charts and adhering to reporting requirements in accordance with procedures.
- Verifying joint details as requested by clients.
- Conducting inspection activities based on project scope and site conditions to minimize resource wastage and avoid delays.
