We are seeking talented Python and Kubernetes Specialist Engineers focused on Data, Workflows, AI/ML, and Analytics Solutions. You will be integral to our teams building open source solutions for both public cloud and private infrastructure. As a software engineer, you will collaborate on end-to-end data analytics and MLOps solutions utilizing popular open-source machine learning tools including Kubeflow, MLFlow, DVC, and Feast. Additional responsibilities may involve working with ETL, data governance, and visualization tools like Apache SuperSet, workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow and Temporal, or data warehouse solutions like Apache Trino and ClickHouse. Your work will encompass a range of environments, from servers and cloud platforms to developer desktops.

We aim to empower individuals and community members as well as Global 2000 and Fortune 500 customers, ensuring our primary work is available free of charge while providing Pro subscriptions for personal use at no cost.

Work Conditions: Full-time, remote work with opportunities for travel to company events twice a year.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the entire Linux stack, from kernel to application layer.
  • Design, build, and maintain solutions for public and private clouds as well as local workstations.
  • Master distributed systems concepts related to observability, identity, and tracing.
  • Collaborate proactively with a distributed team of engineers, designers, and product managers.
  • Debug issues while engaging with upstream and Ubuntu communities.
  • Generate and discuss ideas, collaborating on effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Professional or academic experience in software delivery using Python.
  • Exceptional academic record from both high school and university.
  • Degree in a technical field or a compelling narrative about your alternative educational path.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, and accountability.
  • Resilience and motivation to meet commitments.
  • Willingness to travel for company events twice a year.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Experience with building automated machine learning solutions or data pipelines for the cloud.
  • Familiarity with machine learning libraries or tools.
  • Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker, LXD, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Passion for software quality and testing.
  • Contribution to open-source projects.
