We are seeking a high-potential Graduate Python Developer Intern to join our technology and innovation team. This role is designed for candidates with a solid foundation in Python who are eager to gain hands-on experience building production-ready, cloud-deployed applications within a Microsoft-centric enterprise environment.
Location: Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (On-site)
Work Conditions: Part-time internship
Key Responsibilities:
- Backend & API Development: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django (DRF).
- Cloud & Platform Deployment: Support deployment of Python services to Azure App Services, Azure Container Apps, or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Data & Database Integration: Develop and maintain integrations with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Azure SQL) and support data access layers.
- DevOps & Version Control: Collaborate using Git-based workflows and gain exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Testing, Quality & Documentation: Write unit tests, validate APIs using Postman, and generate API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Collaboration & Delivery: Work closely with senior developers and participate in Agile ceremonies.
Technical Requirements:
- Core Skills:
- Strong foundational knowledge of Python
- Experience with Python web frameworks: FastAPI, Flask, or Django (DRF)
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure services
- Working knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and basic understanding of NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- Proficiency with Git for source control
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Azure DevOps.
Learning Opportunities:
- Hands-on experience delivering solutions within a Microsoft-based enterprise environment.
- Exposure to Azure cloud architecture, DevOps pipelines, and secure deployment practices.
Education:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant practical experience may substitute for formal education requirements.
Duration:
Internship duration: 3 to 6 months with the possibility of extension.
Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English is preferred.
