Python Developer

We are looking for a Python Developer to join our team at Virtusa. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Python and its frameworks, along with skills in data science and machine learning.

Technical Skills Required:

• Core Python: Proficient in basic concepts like data types, variables, operators, functions, classes, modules, exceptions, and file handling. Familiarity with built-in data structures such as lists, tuples, dictionaries, sets, and strings is essential.

• Web Frameworks: Knowledge of Python-based web frameworks such as Flask or Pyramid is required. Candidates should understand features like routing, templating, database integration, authentication, and testing.

• Object Relational Mappers (ORMs): Ability to use ORMs like SQLAlchemy or Django ORM for database interactions. Knowledge of defining models, performing CRUD operations, querying data, and handling transactions is necessary.

• Data Science and Machine Learning: Skills in libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch for data analysis, manipulation, and modeling are crucial. A good understanding of statistics and machine learning concepts is also needed.

• Other Skills:

  • Debugging and Testing: Proficient in using debugging tools, logging, and various testing techniques.
  • Version Control: Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, is required.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
