We are hiring Python Software Engineers at any seniority level who are committed to the highest engineering quality, continuous improvement, and skill development. The Commercial Systems unit consists of five engineering teams collaborating closely on essential services that drive Canonical's business. A significant focus will be on the Integrations team, responsible for automating SaaS user management and onboarding new data sources to the data mesh. The role involves designing and operating Python-based solutions to streamline SaaS seat management and develop integrations that facilitate data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop engineering solutions leveraging Python.
- Collaborate on technical designs and participate in code reviews.
- Deploy and operate team-developed services.
- Mentor and provide career development feedback based on your seniority.
- Promote best engineering and organizational practices.
Qualifications
- Exceptional academic track record (high school and university).
- Undergraduate degree in a technical field or a compelling alternative path.
- Proven experience in Python software development.
- Proficient in professional written and spoken English, with excellent presentation skills.
- Result-oriented with a drive to meet commitments.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events (up to two weeks).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in performance engineering and security.
- Familiarity with tools such as Airbyte, Ranger, Temporal, or Trino.
