What You’ll Own
- Drive down defect escape rates and increase resolution velocity by mastering products, designing test scenarios for mobile, web, and backend, and investigating root causes alongside developers.
- Participate in product and technical grooming by identifying potential risks and asking, "what could go wrong here?" before development begins.
- Collaborate with the Automation team to expand test coverage, improve regression test suites, and determine which tests should be automated versus manual.
- Own the testing and verification for assigned Scrum commitments through regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Utilize AI tools and agents to accelerate the creation of test scenarios, analyze requirements, and reduce repetitive manual work, sharing insights with the team.
- Build strong relationships with developers and cross-functional partners, becoming the QA engineer they want in their grooming sessions.
- Identify and implement at least one AI-driven QA initiative by month six, measure its impact, and present findings to the wider engineering organization.
What Tells Us You're the One
- You’ve measurably improved quality outcomes across a product or service, leading initiatives in testing or automation that moved a specific metric.
- You’ve worked in a startup or fast-paced tech environment, showing how you adapted to change without losing ownership.
- You have 2+ years of QA experience with strengths in test design, bug lifecycle management, and root-cause analysis.
- You’ve practically used AI tools in your QA or development work and can provide concrete examples of their application.
- You understand automation concepts and test frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Appium) and can effectively collaborate with automation engineers.
- You possess experience in a complex product environment involving interactions between mobile, web, and backend systems, understanding their testing implications.
