Arabic fluency is essential for this position. A significant portion of our product is designed for Arabic-speaking users, and we require someone capable of owning the quality of that experience — including language, flow, and overall feel — rather than simply completing a localization checklist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arabic Localisation & RTL Testing: Own Arabic language quality from start to finish, including UI copy, error messages, onboarding materials, and legal text. Conduct RTL rendering tests across devices and develop bilingual test cases addressing language switching, locale formatting, and input validation.
- Test Planning & Execution: Write and execute test plans for both functional and non-functional requirements for web and mobile, covering the complete embedded finance journey with comprehensive negative testing and edge cases.
- API Testing & Automation: Design and execute API test cases using tools such as Postman or REST Assured. Write automated tests for both UI and API layers with Cypress, Playwright, or Appium, integrating them into GitHub Actions pipelines to ensure quality gates run on every build.
- QA Strategy & Shift-Left: Promote quality thinking upstream by shaping requirements and acceptance criteria before code development. Collaborate with teams to set coverage expectations across unit, integration, system, and UAT testing, and prioritize non-functional testing (performance, security, accessibility).
- AI-Augmented Testing: Utilize AI tooling to generate test cases, edge cases, and synthetic data more quickly, dedicating saved time to deep analysis of complex issues. Assist the team in determining the appropriate application of AI within their testing workflows.
Requirements:
- 4–7 years of QA experience, preferably within fintech, open banking, payments, or API-heavy products.
- Native or near-native Arabic fluency; ability to assess localized UI and provide feedback without a checklist.
- Solid API testing skills with Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework: Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or Appium.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools, with comfort in integrating tests into a pipeline.
- Some experience with performance and security testing tools such as k6, JMeter, OWASP ZAP, or Burp Suite.
- Fluent in English alongside Arabic, capable of creating clear bug reports, documentation, and stakeholder updates in both languages.
- Practical experience with AI tooling and knowledge of its applicable and non-applicable uses.
