Responsibilities
Functional Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop innovative testing strategies and streamline processes with development activities to reduce testing redundancy.
- Design and plan test cases for new projects based on business requirements.
- Break down requirements into a set of positive and negative scenarios.
- Apply test cases and conduct integration testing in an automated manner.
- Design, program, and execute automated test suites for an e-commerce website, focusing on all major front-end functionalities across different browsers.
- Successfully handle a diverse range of projects from conception through implementation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct periodic requirement reviews to ensure well-defined requirements that lead to flawless application delivery in production.
- Provide suitable solutions for issues or errors based on a thorough understanding of the system and client business processes.
Qualifications
Education/Certification and Continued Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering.
Years of Experience
- Over 3 years of software QA automation experience on both web and mobile platforms, including API automation, app automation, and web automation.
Knowledge and Skills
- In-depth understanding of Java, Python, SQL, and XML.
- Hands-on experience in architecting and implementing automation frameworks from scratch, utilizing current technologies such as BDD frameworks like Cucumber, PhantomJS, Katalon (Selenium), TestNG, JUnit, REST Assured, etc.
- Knowledge of continuous integration principles and best practices using tools like Jenkins and GitHub.
- Working experience with e-commerce platforms, order management systems, search functionalities, and third-party e-commerce applications.
- Exposure to and understanding of modern web standards and technology.
- Ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams, including both business and technical stakeholders.
- Comfort and experience in an Agile SCRUM and test-driven development environment.
- Consult on estimations, impact assessments, and risk assessments related to development changes.
- Exposure to bug tracking and task management software such as JIRA and QMETRY.
- Knowledge of JMeter scripting for performance/load testing is a plus.
