As the QA/SDET Engineering Chapter Lead, you will own the quality engineering strategy and execution across our product and platform landscape. You will lead a team of skilled QA engineers and SDETs, ensuring robust test automation frameworks, high system reliability, and scalable quality processes. This is a hands-on leadership role—balancing strategic direction with expert-level execution. You will shape the roadmap for test engineering, instill a culture of Shift-Left quality, and champion continuous improvement across people, processes, and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Execution:
- Lead and mentor the QA/SDET chapter across squads.
- Drive end-to-end test planning, from requirement analysis to execution and release readiness.
- Promote Shift-Left QA culture through close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and DevOps.
- Stay hands-on: build and optimise test automation frameworks at both UI and API levels.
- Set quality KPIs and ensure their visibility across the engineering organization.

Strategy & Governance:
- Shape and evolve QA/SDET strategy aligned with business goals and product scale.
- Implement and refine quality governance processes, standards, and toolchains.
- Act as a key contributor to departmental vision, including hiring strategy and chapter growth.

Reliability, Risk & Security:
- Partner with Engineering and SRE to ensure reliability and uptime of critical systems.
- Oversee third-party QA-related services—manage SLAs, vendor assessments, and integration risk.
- Embed QA into CI/CD pipelines; maintain a scalable, cost-effective automation infrastructure.

Quality Culture & Innovation:
- Foster a culture of quality-first mindset throughout the product lifecycle.
- Evaluate and introduce new testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Encourage experimentation and learning, bringing in industry best practices.

Communication & Collaboration:
- Articulate QA goals and outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Champion the balance between speed and stability in rapid delivery environments.
- Represent the QA chapter in planning forums and leadership discussions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent. MBA is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of QA principles, test automation, CI/CD, and Agile.
- Proficient in building and maintaining test suites for complex systems.
- Strong understanding of software design, backend APIs, frontend testing, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity or strong interest in trading platforms, crypto, Fintech, or Financial Services is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) and collaborative mindset.
- Proactive time management with the ability to balance urgency and sustainability.
