QC Inspector (Welding & Structural)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QC Inspector – Welding & Structural for Offshore projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of welding and structural inspections during various project phases including fabrication, assembly, and installation activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and structural inspections during fabrication, assembly, and installation activities.
• Verify compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), drawings, and project specifications.
• Monitor and witness Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities and ensure proper coordination with NDT contractors.
• Ensure fabrication activities comply with international codes and standards including AWS D1.1, ASME, and EEMUA 158.
• Conduct inspections for offshore topside and jacket fabrication, focusing on fit-up, welding, and dimensional checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of total experience, including at least 5 years post-CSWIP/AWS certification.
• Proven experience in offshore topside and jacket fabrication.
• CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 Certificates / AWS are mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of welding inspection, structural fabrication, and NDT coordination.
• Familiarity with offshore codes and standards (AWS D1.1, EEMUA 158, ASME) is essential.
