Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will:
- Design, create, and execute manual tests.
- Execute automated test cases within your team, using relevant quality assurance techniques.
- Ensure quality issues and defects are identified, documented, tracked, and resolved.
- Escalate and report bugs as necessary.
- Proactively identify risks associated with testing and improvements in product development and quality assurance processes.
- Manage test coverage, environments, and maintain test creation.
- Organize and prioritize test efforts, coordinating or delegating testing as needed.
- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot issues and collaborate on problem resolutions.
- Manage stories in terms of testability and clarity of requirements.
- Recommend application improvements for users.
- Stay current with new testing technologies and improve existing solutions.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotating schedule (if applicable).
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have:
- 1-3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or in a similar role.
- A post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Exposure to various QA practices, processes, and tools.
- Expertise in one or more QA areas: Automation, Manual Testing, Security Testing, Performance Testing, Agile QA.
- Experience in a technical or engineering organization / knowledge of the high-technology industry is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle fast-changing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a capability for problem-solving and sound decision-making.
- Ability to engage with all organizational levels as a strong team player.
- Technical competence in software programs, including Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
- An entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a flat organization.
